Pakistan has one of the largest refugee populations. Most of the Afghan refugees live in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), an economically weak province, bordering Afghanistan. A high percentage of vulnerable groups among refugees and host communities are exposed to various stress factors: uncertainties, lack of perspective/livelihoods and violence. These factors have a direct impact on the social well-being of individuals and communities. “Social Support for Afghan Refugees and host Communities (SSARC)” programme, aims to provide or/and strengthen the capacity of relevant actors to deal with the social needs of both target groups. Furthermore, the programme will activate and strengthen context and gender-sensitive social support and encourage a spirit of community self-help. The programme will be implemented mainly in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Eligibility Criteria

• B.A./Master/MSc in an area related to the project objectives with a focus on a relevant field (psychology, social work, youth empowerment) in social science or similar field
• At least three (3) years working at the community level and with young refugees, vulnerable groups in general
• At least three to five (3 to 5) years of experience in the field of organising activities with young people based on their needs and expectations
• At least three (3) years working in the field of psychosocial support (PSS)
• Experience in networking with non-governmental organisations, government agencies, universities and professional associations Applications
