WAPDA OVERVIEW
Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority is an autonomous and independent body of the Federal Government of Pakistan which is maintaining the utilities of Water and Power in the state. It was established after the independence through an act of parliament in 1958
WAPDA owns the biggest dams of Pakistan and actively controls and operates the demands and needs of the Pakistani Commercial and Domestic sectors. It is also planning on completing five more multi-dimensional dams to cover the growing needs of the power sector.
WAPDA’s goal is focused on developing neat and clean energy that is affordable for the citizens of Pakistan to bring down the power tariff keeping in view the consumers. The company has a self-governing network throughout the country.
The board offers an opportunity to work in the WAPDA and earn a healthy amount of money with free electricity, free schooling of the children, accommodation, medical coverages, and many more facilities.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Middle Pass, Matric, Intermediate, B.E/BSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics Engineering Educational Degrees must be recognized by HEC Universities/Institutions.
Experience
- 01 – 03 years of experience
- Pakistan Army retired persons such as retired Subedar, Naib Subedar, Naik, Lance Naik, Havildar, and Soldiers may apply for Security Staff Jobs in Wapda.
- Candidates who want to apply for Member and Chairman Jobs should be retired Judge of Higher Court/Supreme Court and Govt Retired Office of (BPS-20). Middle Pass candidates may apply for advertisement number 1 positions.
