Duties & Responsibilities

  • Guide strategic plans into applications and advise the POL Coordinator
  • Expect challenges and challenges, and adjust mitigation plans
  • Oversee risk management and compliance
  • Contact EMRO and HQ partners for planning and implementation and communication
  • Manage HR planning and administrative tasks in the system
  • Provides administrative and administrative support to Polio Administration, Finance, HR, Logistics and Procurement, Fleet and resource management teams within Pakistan.
  • Leads the WHO’s processes for budget planning and implementation, application optimization and implementation monitoring against applications.
  • Ensures that AWARDS are used as individual donor agreements and that reports and suggestions are submitted as set deadlines.
  • It develops appropriate management policies and procedures and provides advice on responding to management policy and process issues and barriers. Identifies and documents administrative and financial constraints, particularly on project-related problems and delays, recommends remedial measures, including hiring additional human resources, strengthening infrastructure, improving information flow in the transparent and effective management of WHO resources, and ensuring sponsor reporting in accordance with agreements. It streamlines existing processes and/or improves administrative and financial processes to facilitate project management based on clear and effective integration processes.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • Essential
    • Advanced University degree (Master’s level or above) in management, business administration, finance or accounting or other social studies from an accredited/recognized institute.
  • Desirable
    • Degree or training in information management systems and their application to project monitoring and evaluation

Experience

  • Essential
    • At least seven years of relevant experience combined at national and international levels in management and administration, including supervision of staff. Experience in developing and promoting the implementation of state-of-the-art and transparent financial, administrative and managerial procedures.
  • Desirable
    • Experience in developing countries. Prior humanitarian working experience at field level, with WHO, other UN agency, health cluster partners, recognized humanitarian organizations or with an international nongovernmental organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Excellent management skills, analysis and evaluation, complemented by the ability to manage various teams and internationally, promote coherence and achieve results in difficult and difficult situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple teams.
  • Proven and demonstrated skills in strategic planning and design and implementation of operational, financial and administrative controls, including the development and design of related processes and support systems. Good knowledge or understanding of WHO’s financial and administrative rules and/or understanding of WHO’s provider reporting functions is beneficial
