Position Summary

  • The HR Intern will support the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) team in the planning and execution of Special HR Projects on a variety of topics, ranging from administrative to those related to key HR functions. The HR intern will partner and support the HRBP team in fulfilling these projects.
  • HR projects do not come with step-by-step instructions. On the contrary, they are trying to respond to a very specific problem or need that needs to be solved. To be successful as an HR intern you need to be creative, take some risks, be a good team player, a problem solver and be action-oriented. Know how to navigate the grey areas, and succeed by finding a way where there was not one before.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support team by automating writable PDFs for database and analysis.
  • Provide support in documenting processes, for SOP.
  • Initiating and assisting in the facilitation of meetings, capturing metrics, and updating systems.
  • Provide technical and administrative support as needed.
  • Select relevant information from a variety of sources in order to prepare documents, reports, summaries, and replies to inquiries, ensuring accuracy and proper format of the information provided.
  • Data collection, recording and synthesizing – Performance Management. We are doing research in Performance Management, and the HR Intern will support the collection, organizing and synthesizing of data for this research.
  • Support other HR Projects that arise during the internship.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program.
  • Expert with Office Suite – Word, Access, Excel.
  • Airtable experience.
  • People skills – friendly, open to feedback, high self-awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Data analysis and automation experience.
  • Dot connector & problem solver.
  • Excellent research skills, data management and synthesis.
  • Able to solve problems.
  • Creative doer, able to work with broad high-level instructions and make things happen (without a great level of detail or precise steps).
  • Organized and self-motivated.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

WWF interns will be provided with a set of professional development opportunities, aimed at increasing their exposure to conservation and sustainability careers. This includes:

  • Development discussions with their manager;
  • Up to two online courses through Cornell University’s eCornell program;
  • Speed mentoring sessions;
  • Opportunity to present their work to intern peers and WWF staff;
  • Session on resume and interviewing best practices.

Interns will also have access to an array of networking opportunities. This includes meetings with WWF’s CEO, the senior management team, Employee Resource Groups, and representatives from other departments.

Internship Location

  • US Remote – WWF employs interns in all states with the exception of Alabama, Arkansas,  Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Wyoming.

Compensation

  • Paid – $16 per hour (35 hours per week)

Internship Dates

  • The internship will run from June 13 to August 19, 2022
